Turkish Space Agency (TUA)
Founded in 2018, the Turkish Space Agency (TUA) is the national institution responsible for coordinating Türkiye’s space policies and activities. Operating under the Presidency of the Republic of Türkiye, TUA aims to elevate the country’s scientific and technological capabilities in space sciences, satellite systems, space exploration, and international cooperation.
TUA’s National Space Program, launched in 2021 by President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, outlines Türkiye’s ten-year vision for space. It includes ambitious goals such as:
- Sending a Turkish astronaut to space (achieved in 2024),
- Landing on the Moon with a national mission,
- Developing a regional positioning and timing system (RTPS),
- Establishing a spaceport,
- Strengthening the space industry ecosystem.
TUA plays a vital role in promoting international partnerships, advancing indigenous technologies, and inspiring new generations of scientists and engineers through education and public engagement initiatives.
As the official host of IAC 2026, TUA is proud to welcome the global space community to Antalya for a congress that reflects our shared ambition:
“The World Needs More Space.”
